Museums on TikTok

Over the past year, Tiktok has become one of the largest social media sites with 689 million active users on the app worldwide. On average TikTok users spend 52 minutes a day watching short videos!
Museums have also joined the TikTok fun, including METC (@metcnj)! Here are four museum TikToks that are worth a follow!
- Old Barracks Museum (@oldbarracksmuseum)
- Located right here in New Jersey, this museum’s TikTok features their talented and hilarious team of historic interpreters who bring history to life. They are the masters of #ColonialBoySummer.
- Sacramento History Museum ( @sachistorymuseum)
- Howard at the Sacramento History Museum gives short presentations of the museum’s printing press which similar to the Rushmore Press on exhibit at METC!
- Carnegie Museum of Natural History ( @carnegiemnh)
- Do you like snail jokes and fun facts? You’ll love Tim Pearce at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History!
- Black County Living History Museum (@blackcountylivingmuseum)
- This living history museum is located in the UK. Their 1920s Grandad series offers short fireside chats with great life advice from one of their historic interpreters!
