SUMMARY:Downtown Concert Series: Rosewood
DESCRIPTION:Enjoy a FREE night of music this summer on Fridays from 6-8pm. Bring your own chair or blanket to sit and listen to some great performances sponsored by the DDC. 								\n					\n				\n		\n					\n		\n				\n																														\n				\n		\n				\n									Join us on August 1\, for KINGS ROAD BAND. Formed in 2011 and named after the historic New Jersey toll road between Madison and Chatham\, the Kings Road Band plays an appealing blend of pop and rock with harmony vocals and melodic instrumentation. Drawing on a spiritual friendship and the joy of playing music\, members include Diane Smith Kirsh (vocals\, percussion)\, a voice coach and session vocalist whose work has included jingles in popular commercials\, and holiday recordings; Doug Owen (electric guitar\, vocals)\, a former middle school educator now pursuing various musical projects; Mike O’Keeffe (acoustic guitar\, vocals)\, who has been performing music since college; Fred Kornfeind (bass guitar) who has performed with Kings Road since 2022 after moving to NJ from Los Angeles and has played in a variety of bands over the years; and newest member\, Vin Marmorato (drums) who has played with NJ bands Fantasy and Crabdaddy\, backed Lisa Coppola\, and was a percussionist for the Metropolitan Orchestra of NJ.
