DESCRIPTION:Join us at Makerspace on the first Saturday every month between 11am and 3pm at the METC Education Annex at 23 Main Street\, Madison\, NJ. Whether you are looking for a kid-friendly project or for something creative to do after spending time at our Museum\, Makerspace is the place to be with hands-on activities in our collaborative work space geared towards kids ages 5 to 12! Kids will use our 3D printer\, build with Legos\, make jewelry\, experiment with our marble run and coding robots\, and more! Children must be accompanied by guardians at all times.  \n$10/family\, free for members.

SUMMARY:Finger Puppets and Storytelling with Mickey Waring
DESCRIPTION:From puppet play to storybook! Delve into narrative arts on Saturday\, March 8th at 1PM and create mice and other finger and stick puppets out of paper\, fabric\, and mixed media scraps. Guided by Book Arts Artist Mickey Waring\, each participant will create their unique critter character and props for them to interact with. In the process of making puppets\, participants will create stories to write about them in a unique matchbox artist book. \nThis drop off program is for children ages 7- 10\,  and is limited to 8 participants.  $15/child\, $5/member. Registration closes March 5.  \nAbout the Artist: Book Arts Roundtable artist Mickey Waring is an art educator\, artist\, and poet. She teaches children and adults\, works in several media\, and has published her poems and an online blog.
