SUMMARY:Makerspace Saturdays - December
DESCRIPTION:Join us on the first Saturday every month between 11am and 3pm at the METC Education Annex at 23 Main Street\, Madison\, NJ. Whether you are looking for a kid-friendly project or for something creative to do after spending time at our Museum\, drop by Makerspace for hands-on activities in our new collaborative work space geared towards kids ages 5 to 12! Kids will build with Legos\, paint\, make jewelry\, experiment with engineering and coding robots\, and more! Special for December – We are also making a holiday craft and drinking hot cocoa. Children must be accompanied by guardians at all times. Registration is not required. \nFunding has been made possible in part by funds from Morris Arts through the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State\, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.

Join METC and the Book Arts Roundtable to create a variety of crafts like paper snowmen\, paper snow angels\, beaded garland\, winter books\, and more on Saturday\, December 9. This workshop is best for 1st grade and up.  Pre-registration is recommended as supplies are limited. \nDuring the event\, also check out our exclusive holiday pop up shop with scarves by BAR Artist\, Ellen Hess\, as well as handbags and books by BAR Artist\, Jennifer Dann Phillips. \n$5 per family. Please select “Quantity 1” for 1 family. Join us for a special Storytime with young author and ballerina Charlotte Nebres as she reads from her book “Charlotte and the Nutcracker: The True Story of a Girl Who Made Ballet History.” Charlotte and her sister Libby will also lead children in a ballet demo. $5 per family and free for METC members. \nPlease also donate new or gently used ballet supplies & books about dance.
