SUMMARY:Summer Drop In Craft: Pet Rocks
DESCRIPTION:Create your own summer adventure buddy and make a pet rock at METC on June 11! The craft will run from 11am – 1pm and families can stop by the Education Annex at any time to create a craft during their visit to METC. The drop in crafts are $8 per participant. Pre-registration is recommended as supplies are limited. After creating their crafts\, families can visit the museum and its exhibits. Regular museum admission is included with the drop in crafts. Registration is recommended here.

DESCRIPTION:In recognition of PRIDE month\, METC is hosting a Community Discussion: LGBTQ+ PRIDE Panel. This open forum discussion will include panelists who will share their journey and experiences as members of the queer community\, and introduce their variously affiliated organizations. Participation is encouraged – attendees may ask questions in person or anonymously via our online portal. \nThis program is moderated by Cara Parmigiani\, ESQ.\, co-founder of Morris County Pride. Panelists include Simone Kraus of Operation Hope of Morris County\, Nicholas Lepper of EDGE New Jersey\, Len Resto of the Gay Activist Alliance in Morris County (GAAMC)\, and Gordon Sauer of the New Jersey SAGE Affiliate.  \nThis is a hybrid event\, with both in person attendance and via Zoom. DESCRIPTION:METC’s free Summer Concert Series sponsored by the DDC is back! Enjoy a FREE night of music this summer on Fridays from 6-8pm. Bring your own chair or blanket to sit and listen to some great performances. Our concert kicks off on June 24\, 2022 with Jumping the Gun! Jumping The Gun Band plays music from the time when FM radio ruled the airwaves\, music was played on vinyl records and cassette tapes and you purchased your stereo equipment from Crazy Eddies. Band members are Bob Rocco\, guitar and vocals\, George Mandala\, guitar and vocals\, Pete Gavalakis\, bass and vocals and Vernon Mott\, drums. They play a mix of songs from The Rolling Stones\, Tom Petty and Bruce Springsteen along with The Gin Blossoms\, The Black Keys and Darius Rucker.
