DESCRIPTION:Stop by METC’s New Makerspace on the first Saturday every month between 11am and 3pm at the METC Education Annex at 23 Main Street\, Madison\, NJ. Whether you are looking for a kid-friendly project or for something creative to do after spending time at our Museum\, drop by Makerspace for hands-on activities in our new collaborative work space geared towards kids ages 5 to 12! Kids will build with Legos\, paint\, make jewelry\, experiment with engineering and coding robots\, and more! Children must be accompanied by guardians at all times. Registration is not required.

DESCRIPTION:What’s the BUZZ about bees? Join us on Saturday\, June 10 at 11AM to observe bees in action (safely behind glass) and see how they work together to make honey and pollinate flowers. Blair Conley from the Madison Bee Club will share fun facts about bees and show a complete beehive to explain what goes on in the bees’ home. SUMMARY:Summer Concert Series: Jumping the Gun
DESCRIPTION:Tonight’s concert is canceled due to rain. \nMETC’s free Summer Concert Series sponsored by the DDC is back! Enjoy a FREE night of music this summer on Fridays from 6-8pm. Bring your own chair or blanket to sit and listen to some great performances. \nOur concert kicks off on June 23\, with Jumping the Gun! Jumping The Gun Band plays music from the time when FM radio ruled the airwaves\, music was played on vinyl records and cassette tapes and you purchased your stereo equipment from Crazy Eddies. Band members are Bob Rocco\, guitar and vocals\, George Mandala\, guitar and vocals\, Pete Gavalakis\, bass and vocals and Vernon Mott\, drums. They play a mix of songs from The Rolling Stones\, Tom Petty and Bruce Springsteen along with The Gin Blossoms\, The Black Keys and Darius Rucker.
