SUMMARY:Wearable Art Bracelet Making Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Join METC and textile artist Josie Dakers-Brathwaite for a bracelet making workshop on Saturday\, April 9 from 10am -1pm. In this workshop you will learn techniques to create your very own felt jewelry. We will mix colors and embellish with beads. If you have small beads or sentimental trinkets\, please bring to the workshop. Beads will also be provided. At the end of the class you will have a custom made bracelet of your own. Beginners are welcome\, however this workshop is not suitable for those with wool allergies. Please bring a medium size towel and small bucket to class with you. Pre-registration is required for this program as space is limited. Cost is $45 per participant. SUMMARY:Needle Sculpting After School Program
DESCRIPTION:Are you curious about needle felting? In this free spirited workshop kids will have lots of fun learning the basics of “sculpting with fiber” in this 4 week after school program starting April 27\, 2022. Come prepared to use your imagination and create your very own fuzzy animal to take home. Beginners are welcome\, however this class is not suitable for those with wool allergies and is best for ages 10 and up. Cost is $50 per child. Pre-registration for this program is required as space is limited. Click here to register! \nJosie is a textile artist with a fascination for fibers\, quilts\, fabrics and color. She combines these various materials with texture to create one of a kind art scarves\, wall art and small accessories. DESCRIPTION:Join METC for “The Holocaust Council’s Survivor’s Speak” program on April 28\, 2022 at 7pm. The Holocaust Council of the Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest has offered its Survivor Speak program for the past 15 years to help us never forget and to learn from the past. In this program\, a Holocaust survivor or their descendants will tell their stories\, followed by an interactive question and answer session.
