Kelly will also discuss the on-going interior restoration at the museum and the techniques used to restore the beautiful James Library Building. DESCRIPTION:Join METC’s Curator of Collections & Exhibits for a tour of the Main Gallery exhibit\, Cholera to COVID-19: Epidemics\, Pandemics\, & Disease on May 21st and 22nd at 12p and 2p. Tours will last approximately 30 minutes.\nThis exhibit explores America’s experience with infectious diseases\, and the pervasive impact disease had upon daily life from the 18th century to the 21st century. Primary source documents supplemented by historic objects from METC’s permanent collection highlight the resources\, tools\, and techniques physicians used to diagnose and treat patients during these historic outbreaks. Throughout the tour\, please feel free to ask questions and peruse the exhibit at your leisure.\nThis program is free for METC Members or regular admission for nonmembers.\nAdmission Fees:\nAdults: $5\nStudents\, Children and Adults 62+: $3\nMETC Members & Children under 6: FREE\nFamily Maximum Rate: $15.00\nBlue Star Museum Program: Active duty military personnel and families: FREE
